  • Full Time: 5 days a week. 8 hour shift (7-4, 8-5, flexible). Saturdays and Sundays off.

The HR/Payroll Specialist is responsible for all of the employment functions for the Minick Materials' team. They help with hiring, onboarding, and firing, as well as everything in between. They are the touchpoints for many conversations surrounding an employee such as incidents, benefits, and general employment questions. They are also responsible for a weekly payroll and the surrounding payments like taxes and benefits. The job requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to keep information confidential.

HR / Payroll Specialist

Job duties:

  • Process and administer payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding payroll processing
  • Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, hours worked, and deductions
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • May attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations when needed.
  • Assists with new hire orientation.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • -Facilitate projects that improve the employment side of the company such as updating the handbook, interview process, etc.

 


Requirements:

  • 1+ year direct payroll experience.
  • High School Diploma
  • Active listener with excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Experience handling interpersonal matters in the workplace
  • Ability to exhibit sound judgment and critical thinking
  • Ability to operate with complete discretion
  • Willingness to work Monday through Friday 8 am – 5pm

  • Bilingual in Spanish
