Description

  • Full Time: 5 days a week. 8 hour shift (7-4, 8-5, flexible). 
    Saturdays as needed. Sundays off.

The dispatch manager is in charge of delivery fulfillment. This includes, but is not limited to scheduling and dispatching drivers, communicating with stores and vendors, and being mindful of inventory. This position requires excellent organizational and multitasking skills, and an overall ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Dispatch Manager

Job duties:

  •  Manage a team of individuals to complete Dispatching tasks: including billing, customer calls, vendor calls, scheduling, ordering, and completing paperwork for these and many other tasks related to the needs of the dispatch process at Minick Materials
  • Ensure the Dispatch team is communicating with drivers (Minick and 3rd Party) and customers to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure effective communication with our 3rd party vendors for freight rates, scheduling, and store stocking
  • Ensure the dispatch team is getting the stores the products they are needing based off GP numbers or requests from the Location Manager
  • Ensure all inbound calls with customers regarding deliveries are handled in an appropriate time by the Dispatch Team.
  • Ensure billing is complete for dispatch expenses, including: (enter/match invoices) to ensure proper expensing of 3rd party Freight
  • Take lead on and ensures team investigates and resolves any shipping issues
  • Know how to properly complete Data Entry for the Dispatch department which includes: Input deliveries/Purchase Orders from customers and store restock into Microsoft Dynamics (GP)
  • Teach and hold team accountable for the proper entry of Data as required for Billing and Purchasing
  • Ensure all delivery tickets are invoiced and payments are taken accordingly by her team. This includes ensuring the team is completing end of day processes (GP)
  • Understands and holds the team accountable for updating existing Delivery/Purchase Order Spreadsheets
  • Ensures dispatch staff is validating all orders setup from the stores as the orders come through
  • Oversee Dispatch Clerk and ensure jobs assigned are completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Oversee Mechanic: Ensure the Mechanic Schedule is set for all needed repairs and is following logical order of importance
  • Perform any other duties as directed by management

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years of Management over processes and people (preferably within the Dispatching field)
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
